It's a side-scrolling Metroid-like experience with RPG elements. Wii U Virtual Console Games Demon's Crest ($7.99) This 1994 Super Nintendo release from Capcom stars Firebrand, the bastard enemy from Ghosts 'n Goblins (and occasional fighting game star). (you're the 'Co.') can get out of the place where they are trapped. ($9.99) This interesting puzzle game from Neko Entertainment puts you in control of Psychobot who has to lead Tertrobot through challenging puzzles where you can absorb the environment so that way Tetrobot & Co. Sadly, Bayonetta isn't an unlockable character.

There are 20 levels and you can choose between three different bad-ass female rock stars. Nope, you're just a rock star fighting off zombies with a guitar in this 3D beat-'em-up. Rock Zombie ($6.99) You'd think EnjoyUp's Rock Zombie would be a rhythm game or something. Pixel Paint ($3.99) Make your own sprite-based creations with this pixel-focused paint application. Get it? That's like why it's called Falling Skies. Falling Skies ($39.99) Based on the TV show of the same name, Falling Skies is a tactical action game where you have control a squad of fighters who a trying to fend off the aliens that are falling from the skies.

The trick is you need to learn the songs like a rhythm game to ace this shooter. It's super challenging, in part because of the pure difficulty and the intense, bass-thumping music. Cosmophony ($3.99) From Moving Player comes a shoot-'em-up with a musical slant. Only the second game from acclaimed developers Double Fine to make it to a Nintendo system, Costume Quest 2 looks like it's a ton of whimsical fun. You control kids wearing costumes that give them different abilities and powers. Play Costume Quest 2 ($14.99) Just in time for Halloween, Costume Quest 2 is a Super Mario RPG-like RPG.
